About TempMailo

TempMailo is a free temporary email service that was founded in 2022. It gives you a disposable inbox you can use instead of your personal email address when a website, app, or service asks you to sign up. You can open the TempMailo homepage, get an address straight away, and start receiving messages without creating an account.

What TempMailo Does

TempMailo generates a temporary email address the moment you open the site. Messages sent to that address appear in the inbox on the page, so you can read sign-up confirmations, activation links, and verification codes without handing over your real address.

Temporary inboxes are meant to be short-lived. Messages are not kept permanently, and an address you do not save may stop being available to you later. If you want to keep an inbox, you can save it and restore it afterwards.

Our Mission

Our aim is simple: reduce the number of places your personal email address ends up. Every extra sign-up is another list your address can appear on, and another source of marketing mail. A disposable address keeps that clutter away from your personal inbox while still letting you receive the message you actually need.

We also try to keep the service straightforward. There is no account to create for basic use, and the inbox works directly in the browser.

Main Features

  • Instant temporary inbox — an address is ready as soon as the page loads.
  • Receive emails and verification codes — sign-up mail, activation links, and one-time codes arrive in the inbox.
  • Save Inbox — keep a temporary inbox by protecting it with a password.
  • Restore Inbox — reopen a saved inbox later using the correct credentials.
  • Reply Relay — reply to a message you received, directed only to the original sender.
  • Browser extensions — reach your inbox from Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
  • Android app — currently in Google Play closed testing, with public release planned.

Save and Restore Inbox

By default a temporary inbox is disposable. If you expect to need the same address again, use Save Inbox to protect it with a password. You can then use Restore Inbox to open it again later, provided you enter the correct email address and password.

Keep those credentials somewhere safe. If they are lost, the saved inbox cannot be recovered for you. You can read more on the Save and Restore Inbox page.

Reply Relay

Most temporary email services only let you receive. Reply Relay lets you answer a message that arrived in your temporary inbox. TempMailo passes your reply along to the sender of that message.

Replies are limited to the original sender on purpose. It is a reply-only feature, not an open mail sender, which keeps it from being used to send unsolicited mail to arbitrary addresses. Details are on the Temp Mail with Reply page.

Browser Extensions and Android App

TempMailo has extensions for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, so you can copy a temporary address while you are filling in a sign-up form instead of switching tabs. An Android app is currently in Google Play closed testing, with public release planned after the required testing period is completed.

The browser extensions work with the same service, so an inbox you save can be restored from any of them using the same credentials. The Android app will support the same feature when it is publicly released.

Who TempMailo Is For

TempMailo suits everyday, low-risk situations, for example:

  • signing up for a site you only intend to use once;
  • downloading a file or trial that asks for an email address;
  • receiving a verification code for a casual account;
  • testing sign-up and email flows while building a website or app;
  • keeping newsletters and promotional mail out of your personal inbox.

Privacy and Responsible Use

A temporary address helps keep your personal inbox private, but it is not a security product and it does not make you anonymous. Messages in a temporary inbox should be treated as low-value: do not assume they are private, permanent, or protected in the way a personal mailbox is.

For that reason, TempMailo is not suitable for banking, payment, medical, government, work, or any other sensitive or permanent account. Use a real, secured mailbox that you control for anything important or anything you may need to recover later.

Please also use the service responsibly and do not use it for spam, abuse, or anything unlawful. Our Privacy Policy explains what data is handled, and the Terms of Service set out acceptable use.
