Who We Are

TempMailo.me is a temporary email service that allows users to generate disposable email addresses, receive emails, read messages, and optionally save inboxes for later restoration.

TempMailo may also be available through companion products, including browser extensions, browser add-ons, and mobile applications. These products are designed to provide faster access to the same TempMailo temporary email features.

Information We Collect

Usage Data

When you visit TempMailo.me or use TempMailo-related products, we may automatically collect certain technical information including:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Pages visited
  • Time spent on pages
  • Device information
  • App version or extension version
  • Diagnostic and performance data

Temporary Email Data

Emails received through temporary inboxes are processed in order to provide the temporary email service. This may include message previews, sender information, sender email address, subject lines, timestamps, attachments metadata, and message content when a user opens or reads a message.

Users should not use temporary email addresses for highly sensitive, financial, medical, legal, or confidential information.

Access Tokens

TempMailo may use private inbox access tokens to help protect access to temporary inboxes. An email address alone is not intended to grant access to an inbox. Access tokens are used to verify that requests belong to the correct temporary inbox.

Access tokens should not be shared publicly.

TempMailo Browser Extensions

TempMailo may provide official browser extensions or add-ons, including:

  • TempMailo Chrome Extension
  • TempMailo Mozilla Firefox Add-on
  • TempMailo Microsoft Edge Add-on

These browser extensions and add-ons are companion tools for TempMailo.me. They allow users to generate, copy, preview, save, restore, and change temporary email inboxes from the browser extension popup or add-on interface.

Data Stored Locally by Browser Extensions

The browser extensions may store the following data locally on the user's device using browser extension storage:

  • The user's current temporary email address
  • A private inbox access token used to authenticate requests to the user's temporary inbox
  • The list of available TempMailo-related email domains
  • Basic extension preferences required for functionality

This data is stored locally so the extension can keep the same temporary inbox available between browser sessions. The extension does not store saved inbox passwords in the browser.

Message Previews in Browser Extensions

The browser extensions may display limited message previews, such as sender, subject, and time. Depending on the extension version, full messages may open on TempMailo.me or through a secure TempMailo message view.

Message previews are used only to show inbox status and are not sold or used for unrelated purposes.

Extension API Communication

The browser extensions communicate with TempMailo.me API endpoints over HTTPS to:

  • Generate temporary email addresses
  • Check inbox message previews
  • Open or view received messages
  • Save temporary inboxes
  • Restore saved inboxes
  • Change or delete temporary email addresses where supported
  • Use Reply Relay where supported

The extensions use host permissions for TempMailo.me and related TempMailo service endpoints where necessary. Any handling of related inbox domains, such as safemailo.me or eduv.me, is performed by TempMailo systems.

Passwords and Saved Inboxes in Extensions

When users save or restore an inbox, passwords are sent over HTTPS to TempMailo.me for verification. Saved inbox passwords are hashed server-side and are not stored in the extension or browser.

Remote Code

The browser extensions do not execute remotely hosted code. Extension JavaScript is included in the extension or add-on package. The extensions may fetch JSON data from TempMailo.me API endpoints, but this data is not executable code.

Extension Data Sharing

The browser extensions do not sell user data. They do not use user data for creditworthiness, lending, or unrelated purposes. They do not read browsing history, access cookies, collect precise location data, or access financial or health information.

TempMailo Android App

TempMailo may provide an official Android mobile application through Google Play Store. The Android app allows users to generate temporary email addresses, receive emails, read messages, save inboxes, restore saved inboxes, change temporary email addresses, and use Reply Relay where available.

Data Processed by the Android App

The TempMailo Android app may process:

  • Temporary email addresses generated by TempMailo
  • Inbox message previews
  • Message sender, subject, timestamp, and message content when opened
  • Saved inbox information
  • Inbox access tokens
  • Reply Relay messages when the feature is used
  • Basic app diagnostic or performance data

Local App Storage

The Android app may store the user's current temporary email address and private inbox access token locally on the user's device. This allows the app to keep the same inbox available when the user closes and reopens the app.

Saved inbox passwords are not intended to be stored locally by the app. When a user saves or restores an inbox, the password is sent securely over HTTPS to TempMailo.me for verification and is hashed server-side where applicable.

Verification Code Detection

The Android app may detect verification codes, OTP codes, or confirmation codes from received email content in order to provide a quick copy feature. This detection is performed only to improve user experience when reading messages in the app.

Google Play Store

If the TempMailo Android app is downloaded through Google Play Store, Google may process information related to app installation, updates, device compatibility, crash reports, reviews, ratings, and store activity according to Google's own privacy policies and Google Play terms.

Android App Permissions

The TempMailo Android app is designed to request only permissions necessary for its functionality. The app does not require access to the user's personal email account, contacts, photos, precise location, microphone, or camera to provide the main temporary email features.

Cookies

TempMailo.me uses cookies and similar technologies to improve website functionality, security, analytics, and user experience.

Cookies may be used to remember the current temporary inbox, protect inbox access, manage cookie consent, and improve service functionality.

You can disable cookies through your browser settings. Some website features may not function correctly if cookies are disabled.

How We Use Information

We may use collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain the TempMailo service
  • Generate and manage temporary email inboxes
  • Display received emails and message previews
  • Enable Save & Restore Inbox functionality
  • Enable Reply Relay where available
  • Provide browser extension, add-on, and mobile app functionality
  • Improve website, extension, add-on, and app performance
  • Analyze service usage and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Prevent abuse, spam, fraud, and unauthorized access
  • Maintain security and service stability
  • Comply with legal obligations

Save & Restore Inbox Feature

TempMailo.me provides a Save Inbox feature which allows users to restore access to previously saved temporary inboxes. Users are responsible for protecting their saved inbox credentials.

Saved inbox passwords are hashed and used only to verify access to a saved inbox. We do not store saved inbox passwords in plain text.

We cannot recover access to saved inboxes if credentials are lost.

Saving an inbox helps restore access to the saved temporary email address. However, availability of old messages may depend on mailbox retention, system maintenance, and service limitations.

Reply Relay

Reply Relay allows users to reply to certain incoming emails from a temporary inbox without exposing a personal email address. When Reply Relay is used, the reply message is processed through TempMailo systems and sent to the original sender where supported.

Reply Relay may be limited to prevent abuse, spam, or misuse. Limits may include reply count limits, cooldown periods, message length limits, attachment restrictions, CAPTCHA checks, and blocking of unsafe content or links.

Reply Relay is intended only for legitimate replies to messages received in a user's temporary inbox. TempMailo may restrict or disable Reply Relay when abuse or suspicious activity is detected.

Advertising

TempMailo.me may display advertisements through third-party advertising partners including Google AdSense.

The TempMailo Android app may display advertisements in the future through Google AdMob or similar mobile advertising services. If ads are enabled in the app, advertising partners may process device identifiers, app activity, approximate location, or other information as described in their own privacy policies.

Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to personalize or measure advertisements, depending on user settings, consent, and applicable laws.

You can learn more about Google's privacy practices here: Google Privacy Policy

Third-Party Services

We may use trusted third-party services for hosting, analytics, advertising, security, app distribution, browser extension distribution, and email processing. These providers may process information necessary to operate the service.

Third-party services may include:

  • Hosting providers
  • Email infrastructure providers
  • Analytics tools
  • Advertising partners such as Google AdSense or Google AdMob
  • Security and anti-abuse services
  • Google Play Store for Android app distribution
  • Chrome Web Store for Chrome extension distribution
  • Mozilla Add-ons for Firefox add-on distribution
  • Microsoft Edge Add-ons for Edge add-on distribution

Each third-party provider may process information according to its own privacy policy and terms.

Data Retention

Temporary emails and inbox data may be automatically deleted after a period of inactivity or when required for system maintenance.

We reserve the right to remove temporary inboxes, emails, tokens, saved inbox records, or stored data at any time to maintain service stability, prevent abuse, and protect TempMailo systems.

Saved inbox records may be retained for as long as necessary to provide the Save & Restore Inbox feature, unless removed by the user or by system maintenance.

Local data stored in browser extensions or the Android app may remain on the user's device until the user clears app data, removes the extension/add-on, uninstalls the app, or uses available delete/reset options.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information stored on our systems. This includes using HTTPS, hashed saved inbox passwords, inbox access tokens, validation, and abuse-prevention measures where applicable.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Users should avoid using temporary email services for sensitive, financial, medical, legal, or confidential communications.

Children's Privacy

TempMailo.me, TempMailo browser extensions, and the TempMailo Android app are not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information through TempMailo, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
